The Tax Collector's Prayer

Today's Gospel reading (Luke 18:9-14) shares one of Jesus's parables (a realistic story to teach a lesson). It is the story of the religious leader who is a bit full of himself and the corrupt tax collector who is ashamed of his misdealings. It is through this parable that Jesus gave one of his lessons on the importance of humility. This Biblical passage is also one that the "Jesus Prayer" evolved from:
Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me.
I bet heaven has tons of these sinners, people whose hearts changed - then very sorrowfully and humbly asked God for forgiveness.
