If you have been able to get to Daily Mass this week, you have heard passages from Paul's Letter to the Philippians. This letter makes me think of Lydia the Purple-Seller, the slave girl, the jailer, Epaphroditus, Euodia, Syntyche, and Clement - all Biblical people from Philippi who were touched by the life of Christ. I like to imagine that maybe they, along with some other Philippians, gathered together to read the letter - maybe at Lydia's House Church. Surely they were strengthened by the words of Paul, and stepped up their efforts to share the joy of Christianity.
Give my greeting to every holy one in Christ Jesus.
