Persistent Prayer & The Blind Man of Jericho

Today's Gospel reading once again points out the importance of persistent prayer - through an unnamed individual. This man of Jericho was blind, hidden in the thick of a crowd, and shushed by those around him. He did not give up, however, and repeatedly cried out: "Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me!" His persistence paid off. Jesus healed him from his blindness.

Luke 18:35-43
