Daniel ~ A Devout Jew During the Babylonian Exile

Daniel 5: 25-28
Daniel was a young man when taken to Babylon along with many other Jews.  He stood out as intelligent, prudent, and with a unique ability to interpret dreams.  These qualities earned him a high post within Babylon.  Despite these pluses, he was still put through many trials.  He persistently clung to his religious traditions … even in the face of death.
Daniel is not in the current edition of the Martyrologium Romanum, however, in previous editions, his Feast Day was July 21.
