Saint Thomas ~ Inspiration for a Simple Act of Faith

Saint Thomas

It used to be a popular custom to quietly say, “My Lord and my God!” just as the priest would elevate the consecrated host and wine/body and blood of Christ at mass.  The practice has dwindled in recent decades; however, it is a very simple and pious action well worth carrying out.
These words, “My Lord and my God” were first spoken by St. Thomas the Apostle … when, feeling completely overwhelmed, he saw the risen Christ for the first time.
