Saints Lazarus, Martha, and Mary of Bethany ~ Three Siblings Who Were Friends with Jesus

- Welcomed Jesus into her home. 
- Kept busy with serving.
- Asked Jesus to intervene, hoping that Mary would help.

- Sat at the feet of Jesus and listened to all He had to say.


John
11
- Became seriously ill.
- Sent word to Jesus asking Him to come see Lazarus.

- Died
- “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”
- “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”

- Rose from the dead, following the command from Jesus.

12:
1-11
- Reclined at table with Jesus during a dinner for Him at the siblings’ house.
- A crowd gathered to see the risen Lazarus.
- The chief priests plotted to kill Lazarus.

- Served.
- Took a liter of costly perfumed oil and anointed the feet of Jesus.


These three siblings, Lazarus, Martha, and Mary of Bethany, share July 29 as a Feast Day.
(The Feast of Lazarus used to be December 17.)
