Saints Raphael, Gabriel, and Michael ~ Three Archangel Saints

Archangels Raphael, Michael, and Gabriel
Belmont Abbey

Saint Raphael
The story of the Archangel Raphael can be found in the Old Testament book of Tobit.  It’s a short-ish book of the Bible, easy to read, and offers wonderful encouragement to hope and trust in the Lord.  Raphael is also known as Azariah in this Biblical book.
Take courage!
God has healing in store for you;
so take courage!

Tobit 5:10

Saint Gabriel
The Archangel Gabriel can be found in both the Old Testament and the New Testament.  During the Babylonian Exile, he appeared to the prophet Daniel to offer hope and encouragements to the people of Judah.  His New Testament references share of when he announced the births of John the Baptist and Jesus.
Daniel 8:15-26
Daniel 9:21-27
Luke 1:10-20, 26-38

Saint Michael
Saint Michael has become known as the saint to turn to when it feels like evil is lurking about … when the people near us are overly aggressive, during times of war, during times of pressures to turn away from God.  His scriptural references indicate that he is a warrior against evil.
Daniel 10:13, 21
Daniel 12:1
Jude 9
Rev. 12:7-9

Archangels Raphael, Gabriel, and Michael are all honored on September 29.
